Our professional company hosts an annual performance season that includes three main stage productions and a variety of community performances and workshops.
The Professional Company
This is the most intensive company regarding rehearsals per week and hours in the studio. There are many performance and choreographic opportunities available to all members. There are paid positions for experienced dancers over the age of 18. Being a professional company member is an annually contracted position.

There are 3 main stage productions
Youth Pre-professional Company
This is a pre-professional program which rehearses 2 days per week. There is tuition for training, however there are no production fees. This company is given opportunities to perform alongside the Professional Company and members are eligible for additional performance and choreographic opportunities. Members are also eligible for paid apprenticeships after 2 years!
Community Ensemble
This company is the most flexible and is open to dancers of all ages. There is no long-term commitment when joining this company. There are production fees per show, and if financials are a concern for you there is financial assistance available!
Junior Company
This company is for dancers who are 9 to 12 years old. They rehearsal 1 day per week. There is tuition for training, however, there are no production fees. The junior company has opportunities to perform alongside the Professional Company!
Improvisational Company
Their performances range from traditional, proscenium-style presentations, to more out-of-the-box immersive and interactive events! Ambo Dance Theatre's Improvisational Company is a multigenerational group of dancers who train in Group Compositional ImprovisationDancers. They train in strategies for responding to their fellow improvisors and to make choices on the spot that supportthe group and group's creation. the work they are creating together.
